Top Ten Tuesday is my all time favorite weekly meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.
Top Ten "Older" Books That I Don't Want You to Forget About!
1.) Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - One of the best teen romances I have ever read.
2.) Jessica Darling series by Megan McCafferty - 2 words. Marcus. Flutie.
3.) The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - Wonderful middle grade fiction that seems to get lost amidst Harry Potter.
4.) Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma - This one isn't technically "older" as it was pubbed in 2011, but I think every single person should read this. Everyone.
5.) Dreamland by Sarah Dessen - A good "starter" novel about the dangers of domestic abuse.
6.) My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult - If you are not a big ball of emotional mess by the end of this, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with you.
7.) The Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz - One of my fav books of all time. Seriously funny shit. It's great. Trust me.
8.) One for the Money by Janet Evanovich - Hilarious!
9.) Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See - Very touching novel about friendship in China.
10.) The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck - The oldest book on my list. It was pubbed in 1932. This is also one of only two assigned reading books that I enjoyed.
I haven't read any of those books you mentioned, but Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is one I've wanted to read for a while.

It's a very good book with fantastic imagery. Completely out of my comfort zone, but a wonderful novel. I hear there is also a movie out based on the book, but I have yet to watch it.
